“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1. Peter 5:10
Perfection is beyond imagination. Nobody is perfect in this world. But God Almighty who is absolutely perfect. Divine perfection can be seen how God reveals in His character and activity through His pure love for humanity.
“Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Mathew 5:48
“He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. Deuteronomy 32:4
Jesus Christ is perfect in all His dealings with human beings in the form -perfect as a person, perfect in behavior and perfect in doing good things to others.
- perfect as a person: Imperfection rules the world. We are not perfect in our activities as God:
“….who has been made perfect forever. Hebrews 7:28
- perfect in behavior. The behavior pattern varies widely and generally we are not bighearted or magnanimous or high-minded, in our inter personal relationships. The only person who has given himself for us is Jesus, to forgive our sins , and has given the gift of salvation and eternal life.
“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
- perfect in doing good things
" should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered" Hebrews. 2:10
" once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation "Hebrews. 5:9
Actually God wants his children to be perfect. Humble before God and pray for forgiveness. Pray as follows:
- “Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.”Psalm51:2-3
- “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Psalm51:7
- “….But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1Corinthians 6:11
- “….rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11
It is God that girds me with strength,
and makes my way perfect. Psalms 18:32
