13 September 2011 Divine Protection

 We encounter lot of tough times in life, when we need help in the midst of locked doors, we are troubled and worried, or we may criticize others or moan, feel sorry,complain and attempt to solve the problems  by ourselves or may run here and there, in vain. Psalm 121 teaches us that, when we need help, we need to look to the Lord Almighty and He is ready to support us.

¹I lift up my eyes to the mountains— 
   where does my help come from? 

Our difficulties may seem to be large or insurmountable to handle, Relax .Help comes from above, the Almighty God- it  is always a wonderful experience and beyond our imaginations.

• “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” Psalm 125:2

² My help comes from the LORD, 

   the Maker of heaven and earth.

During the times of need, lift your eyes to the Lord. Satan will try to keep our eyes upon our sorrows, circumstances and make us feel discouraged; but we have to stand firmly to resolve in our mind, to look up, to get help from above.

• “Our help is in the name of the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth”.Psalm 124:8
•  “The truth we have to know that our exact help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.  “the LORD God made the earth and the heavens.” Genesis 2:4

Do not worry. The one who made heaven and earth is there to help you. His power,mercy, goodness and grace can sustain us. Feel how BIG our God really is, when we look up to the skies with thankful heart.

³ He will not let your foot slip— 
   he who watches over you will not slumber; 

• “He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.” 1 Samuel 2:9
• “Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble”….“for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.”Proverbs 3:23,26

⁴ indeed, he who watches over Israel 
   will neither slumber nor sleep

• “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.Unless the LORD watches over the city,the guards stand watch in vain.Psalm 127:1
• “I, the LORD, watch over it; I water it continually.I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it,”Isaiah 27:3.

Unless God takes charge- nothing will work out perfectly.GOD IS IN CONTROL

 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, 
   neither are your ways my ways,”
            declares the LORD.
  “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
   so are my ways higher than your ways
   and my thoughts than your thoughts.Isaiah 55:7-8

 It is a great confirmation that 

        still  God is in control.

God’s Protection

Of course we need protection, physically as well as mentally, in real terms emotionally too.Protection means ,Defence from attack, hurt or exploitation 

(from anything which affect our normal course of life, Even the slightest jerks or shocks, can have a disastrous repercussion in life.People around us, or matters which hang around us may have its impact on our mood swing.We may wonder and may see  blank corners everywhere.Always remember we have a strong protector with us.The ultimate protector is God 

         Generally we are targeted by the people around us- starting right from home to work place , from the outer circle of relatives and friends, or for unknown reason people may overcome us. We may wonder when things happen in a  wrong  directions and people may see us as if we have done something really wrong. In such circumstances do not loose heart. It is the work of devil to tarnish our image.

• “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”.(1Peter 5:8)

        He is a roaring lion, hungry, fierce, strong, and cruel, and greedy chaser of souls.( will not rest).  Such strong trial and temptation we must resist, by being grounded, determined, and steadfast in the faith.

• “…As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:19.
• "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) .
• “But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.(2 Thessalonians 3:3)

 The protection from God is supreme and you can not even imagine His ways.

• "As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. Psalm 125:2
• “Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you whenever you go.”(Joshua 1:9)

 Focus your eyes on the Lord-

• “The LORD will keep you from all harm; he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”(Psalm121:7-8)

Choice is yours .

If you want God’s protection, Come To Jesus.

 Then you can see the Devil running from you.

•  "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.(Psalms 46:1-3)

Memorise Psalm 91 and Say it Daily –while you walk or do any work.

 you can feel a special power inside you.

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over you,
         To keep you in all your ways.

• “The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.Psalm 34:7
• “Be my rock of refuge,to which I can always go;give the command to save me,for you are my rock and my fortress .Psalm 71:3
• Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14

 ¹² In their hands they shall bear you up,
         Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

• ‘‘He will command his angels concerning you,and they will lift you up in their hands,so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Mathew 4:6

 ¹³ You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
         The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 

• “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19
• ‘Whoever believes….they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all;..Mark16:18

• Those who know your name trust in you,for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10

 ¹⁵ He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;

• I will be with him in trouble;I will deliver him and honor him.Psalm50:15
• Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

 ¹⁶ With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

• So run that ye may obtain the incorruptible crown.

10 September 2011 Psalm 91

Read it once daily before going out and realise the heavenly protection

⁵ You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

•  They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD. Psalm 112:7
• Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:23-24
• When you pass through the waters,  I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.Isaiah 43:2 

 ⁶ Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 

• Darkness is used as a symbol of sin It is often contrasted with light, as a symbol of forgiveness and the presence of God.Either night or day  the devil has traps set hidden for God 's children.

 ⁷ A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; 
   But it shall not come near you.

• You may see the multitude fall dead around you ( may be numerous problems

    which surrounds you)be steady God has promised His Divine protection.

• Taste and see that the Lord is good

⁸ Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 

•  “Hope in the LORD  and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.Psalm 37:34 
• “You will see it with your own eyes and say, ‘Great is the LORD—even beyond the borders…”Malachi 1:5

 ⁹ Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

• “Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Psalm71:3
•  “Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Psalm 90:1

10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

•  “No harm overtakes the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble. Proverbs 12:21

God will protects us, and enables us to win through the battle, by pouring Grace upon us . We can simply stand behind God, and He will shield us.

• “In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues”. Psalm 31:20

Do not fear the uncertainties of the future and unknown effects of their actions and reactions  the Almighty, will protect us and be with us.

•  “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock”. Psalm 27:5

What else you need. Be cheerful
