ETERNAL LIFE  means triumph over death and infinitely extended life or a unique quality of life, knowing God and sharing the life with Christ and enjoying his eternal blessings.“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”.( John 3: 16-17)

God loves His Children, but we are self-centered and turned away from God  and  forgot  to love Him back. It is actually an inward focus, or selfishness, may be a spiritual sickness called a sin. “…for there is no difference; for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:22-23).“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

The Bible is quite clear. We all have sinned  and therefore we all are liable to  die. Death, as Bible teaches, is a punishment. “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; And the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”(Isaiah 53:6) .Man cannot save himself and he cannot save his fellow beings.

God promises eternal life. “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began”(Titus 1:2). God has promised eternal life to those who serve him with all their hearts. "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly (John 10:10). Receiving eternal life is not trying to win His heart with a lot of good works, like going to church , giving donations, giving alms and doing some thing good before others to please others. It’s  all about receiving the free gift of salvation. 

Sin is hidden , it is not visible and we can  not see through  our eyes . All kinds of sins are abomination to God. It is not right to pose that it does not exist. The seed of the sin  which we have inherited grows slowly, spreads, corrupts and  finally it  touches the soul, hence it needs to be destroyed. 

 Jesus, the Son of God,conquered  death, so mankind can have life eternal."Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures... (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He Is the Only Way to God "…'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me'" (John 14:6). “…if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10: 9)

When Our lives have been totally changed. “….Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16: 30-31) When we believe our entire the course of our life, can take a different route.  God asks us to believe in His Son, who said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. (John 14:6). Give your whole life to Jesus, live by His teaching and claiming His promises.

Even when you are totally shattered in life’s Tsunami, Jesus can fix up your whole life and make it beautiful. “Christ ... gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own,eager to do what is good!” (Titus 2:14)  

 “Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears  My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.” (Revelations 3:20). Jesus will come and live with you.It may seem to be a  magic formula.Real prayer comes from the depth of your heart. We Receive Christ Through Faith "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9). “Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon Your people.”(Psalm 3:8)

If you have invited Jesus Christ into your heart  you are a new person. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! ….Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) and there is great rejoicing like: “there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents."(Luke 15:10)  God has us a priceless gift, none can give. 

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand”(John 10:28 )  “….., he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; ….He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”(John 6:46- 54)

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”(Psalm 23:6) 

Clothed in His righteousness, we are equipped with all the perfection we need to live in the presence of a perfect, holy God.  

 “I delight greatly in the LORD; 

my soul rejoices in my God. 

For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and

 arrayed me in a robe of righteousness…” (Isaiah 61:10)

Praise the Lord.

Let the joy of Salvation, you have received,
 over flow to fill others in need.
 

GOD HAS THE POWER and HE WILL FULFILL HIS PROMISES

7 September 2011   GOD HAS UNLIMITED POWER! 

        God can do anything .All things are possible for God . God created the heavens and earth, God parted the waters of the Red Sea, He knocked down the walls of Jericho, God sent His Son Jesus to be born as a human being in this world. “All authority has been given to Me  in heaven and on earth. ………I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28: 18-20) ”…for the Almighty,…He is excellent in power..”(Job 37:23)

    God has tremendous, and infinite power. There is no doubt about it, God is able to answer every prayer, even a slightest longing, or a desire, which takes the form of prayer reaches God. He meets every need, supplies all in His riches  and  do the impossible. Jesus said: “If you can believe all things are possible to him who believes.”  (Mark 9:23) and He declared “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” (Mark 10:27) Praise the Lord.

        He has power, authority and supremacy, to strengthen you and to assist you through your difficulties and trials. God Himself give us a personal invitation to come to Him and receive the blessings; “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “(Matthew  7:7-8). We have our  own responsibility to stay connected to the power source ( The Omnipotent God), to receive strength and power. Try to be a witness. “The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak, Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:28-31)

           He has the power and ability to do what He said He would do. He will forgive forget save, heal and  bless you  when you call upon His name! “ Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God,and there is no other.(Isaiah 45:22), God’s power can perform mighty works far beyond my imagination. Be open to God’s leading and power in your life. Always try to establish a instant communication with God, it is immaterial where you are. Even in the midst of our helplessness our Father is there to help us. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew  11:28). This is a beautiful verse, gently reminding us ,our accountability and our duty. More over it pin points What God expects from us.

            When we go as per the instructions of God, He will give you all and above what you ask of Him.He gives power to overcome the evil power ,which sows the seed of all evils. “ Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  (Luke 10: 18,19).“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”( Numbers 23:19)

“We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, 
The One who is and who was and who is to come,
Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.” (Revelation 11:17)

     God promises to respond to the prayers of his people in times of need.When we are facing a particular need or problem in our life, our mind is almost blocked or else we resort to other means to solve it. As a Christian when we turn to our Father, Sometimes we do not know ,where to begin or even how to ask God for help. Our prayers are not answered the way we want. When you ask God for something, You can't understand why God didn't answer the way you wanted it .

    Prayer is the most exciting and the most waiting experience for everyone. When God answers your prayer, it's a feeling of excitement. “Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing……The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.”(Psalm 126:1-3) That is the experience  of getting a reward from God, something like dreaming, and far above our expectations .A miracle might have happened, and that God did it just for one reason: because he loves you. “Because he loves me, says the LORD, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”(Psalm 91:14-16 )

       A prayer should be packed with confidence in God’s promises, may be as humans our needs are variant, as similar to the problems. Choose the  right route- that  is “GOD IS THE ANSWER.” This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”(1 John 5:14)  “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24) “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.(Mathew 18:19 ) We have to approach him, not only with our needs and concerns, but with prayers of praise filled with joy and thanksgiving. “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (Psalm 50:14-15) “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.(Psalm 46:1-3).

        God promises to hear the prayers of those who are really feeling regretful and remorse.You know God scans the heart of a person and knows the contents of it . Certain evil things are hidden in the corners of the heart is abomination to God. God hates pride and arrogance. Repent and humble yourself before HIS feet. “….if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14).

• Gives thank for all that you do have. Give thanks for all answered prayers. 
• Once you are filled with gratitude, present your requests and your needs. 
• Open your heart and mind .What God wants for you is always greater than what you want for yourself. 
• Give thanks for all that God is already doing .
• Stay in the spirit of thanksgiving as it will leave you in peace. 
• Trust in the Lord .
• Feel the trust throughout your body.

TRUST AND OBEY THERE IS NO OTHER WAY,

TO BE HAPPY  IN JESUS, BUT TO TRUST AND OBEY.

God’s Promises

   God understands our prayers even when we cannot find the words to express ourselves. God promises to hear and respond to our prayers, when we pray in the name of his Son and according to His will. Generally we pray to get blessings from God and never even bother to listen to His words or try to follow His percepts.

     God Almighty who has created the heaven and earth, loves us  and loves his people. Nothing can stand against His Mighty Power. He has given number of  promises to be fulfilled in our life,  if at all we confine ourselves to  the conditions and refine our heart towards Him.“The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”(Acts 2:39)

      God expects his people to make requests in prayer. All the promises  as Jesus said ,are to be “Yes” and the “Amen” (Let it be so)  to all the prophecies and promises of God. The Way you humble yourself before God is the secret for getting an answer. “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants”(.Isaiah 44:3 )

       If you adopt a dual role in all your dealing and in your workings,  your prayers can be or may go as a waste. As we read   “They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules .You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions….. You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions ….  Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” (Mathew 7:7-11)

       Learn to obey the commandments of God. Keep your heart clean. Set aside the evil thought from your mind and ingrain the words of wisdom. Then ask God it will be given unto you .“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened….though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”(Luke 11:9-13)

      God has given you a very simple formula: Faith with a  determination to be a child of GOD.  “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)  “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Mathew 21:22)

       God promises to answer all your prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14: 13-14)

We are the chosen vessel of God  and He has formed you, in your mother’s womb.  “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”( John 15:16)"...you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”(John 16: 23-24 )

And above all GOD has a blue print of our life with Him. 

He has a perfect track record of even the minute details happening in our life.

GOD will uphold His own truth.

Promises of God

What is a promise? A promise can be defined as :"Words said or written, binding a person to do or not to do something." 

            When a person makes a promise he is giving his word that he will do something  or  may not do something. People promise their kith and kin many things.  Since the world is filled with a mixture of happy and unhappy substances, we are mostly interdependent, clinging on somebody for something throughout our life time.

          As Christians we usually claim the promises God has given us. The Promises given by God to His children, ( to us) provide strength and  faith ,to walk victoriously. God has given no promise which HE will not do or HE cannot do, and HE encouraged us with hope saying that He will fulfill or accomplish it in appropriate time.

           All promises belongs not for one person but to all (everybody), whoever claims it with faith(believers)  can own it. God is unchangeable, and   since He will not lie as we humans do, He will continue to be mindful  and watchful of us to fulfill His promise for the future as  He has doing   in the past .Remember how HE lead you in your trails, troubles and in your inabilities.

       A promise is a promise from GOD – nobody can change it. No power of this world can overrule it or make it a failure , and GOD will do that in HIS own time. Wait  patiently and Pray.  Have Faith in HIM.

     Promises can be of different kinds. -Conditional  promise and Unconditional  promise.

• Conditional  promise: Many of God's promises are conditional   means added with a little word "if". God promises to do something IF man does something. God will do His part if man does his part. Sometimes our parents might give us a conditional promise: "If you finish your home work I will give a chocolate.

       Conditional promises are set up by God to increase our patience, faith and show his faithfulness .In everyday life certain kinds of agreements could also serve as examples of conditional promises. God has made some promises in the Bible that are conditional as with  "if". "  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.  I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 )

Unconditional Promises: When God gives an unconditional promise, there are no "if’s," "and ’s," or "but’ s"  and similar things .  God says, "I WILL DO SOMETHING" and it does not matter if men like it or do not like it, believe it or do not believe it-, if you want it or you do not want it…-God is still going to do it .

           An unconditional promise means that GOD WILL do what He promised no matter what! Here are some examples: HEBREWS 13:5--God says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”. God will never leave a person who has faith in his heart. That’s God’s promise. Even when we do not deserve . 

            A big  question arise, Will God break His promise then? No, God keeps His promise and God will be right there   beside you , talking and  dealing with his heart until things may turn to be alright. There is a difference between A command from God is something man should do; a Promise from God is something God will do.

A command must be obeyed, A Promise must be believed. 

When God gives a command He says, "YOU WILL"-

 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”( Deuteronomy  6:5)

             When God gives a promise He says, "I WILL", ‘I am the LORD', and I will bring you out ….. I will free you …. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and … I will take you as my own people, … I will be your God. ( Exodus 6:6-8) The emphatic way "I WILL’s"  from this verse automatically will strengthen us.

          It is important to be able to tell the difference between a command (God telling me to do something) and a promise (God telling me that He will do something).

I have given some verses to read , claim and to treasure it:

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9

Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Job 37:14
