Who are the wicked?-1

Wickedness rules the world. Turn around to look at the happening around you. Daily news paper mostly carries news about murders, thefts, kidnapping, bribery, rape and murder of young girls, cheating, terror attacks, kidnapping planes for  ransom- it is an endless list. 

We need protection and an apparent understanding, to behave and to live in this world.

Wickedness:-as it is defined-  morally bad in principle or practice; mischievous ;troublesome;unpleasant, or offensive;intensely or extremely bad or unpleasant ; a scoundrel and villain.

Bible defines as:

“This is what the wicked are like— always free of care, they go on amassing wealth”. Psalm 73:12

 Bible lists up many characteristic feature of a wicked person.Read  some of the verses for understanding.

• “I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked;There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. Psalm 12:1-4

• “who goes about with a corrupt mouth. Proverbs 6:12
• “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? Jeremiah17:9
• “….lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.Psalm 12:2

The general observation shows that the wicked lived long lives, became powerful, lived in peace and safety, became wealthy, and had everything they could possibly want and dream of. This is true today.

Some of the main  traits of the wicked person can be traced with the help of the HOLY BIBLE. They are:

Alienated  from God and  Blind at heart:

• “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Ephesians 4:18

Boastful.

• “He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.” Psalms 10:3
• “…who trust in their wealth and boast of their great riches? Psalms 49:6

Deceitful,Covetous and Murderers.

• “the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.Psalm11:2
• “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.There is no fear of God before their eyes: Romans 3:13

Think Positively to eliminate Negatives.

Negative thinking has a unique way of creeping into our conversations, straight away from our thinking, even without being noticed by us.

 The way to get rid of negatives, is to spot those thoughts and crush them down. Replace them with positive ones. 

Then you will surely notice a huge difference in everything you do.

Positive thinking will attract positive things, positive people and positive situations, of course a positive life style.

Positive thinking is a practice, which requires a particular mental attitude or outlook. Acquire it. Then you will automatically have positive thoughts (from the inner parts of the mind) and may hit upon answers to the most complicated problems and life’s challenges. You will be amazed to see  a new course of life pattern.

A person with positive mindset, naturally think positively and foresees the brighter side of life. A supreme and positive feel will engulf his/her mind.

Bible clearly put forth many things which will make you to be a cheerful person. 

Read this verses:

• “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6  
• “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. Matthew 21:22
• “…. brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
• “…blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD” Proverbs 16:20
• “Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God. Psalm 146:5
• “In the multitude of my thoughts within me, Thy comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94:19
•  “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
• “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast,because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever. Isaiah 26:3

“I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

How you feel now? 

Trust and obey Jesus.

Obviously positive mindset allows us to avoid the budding negative and more challenging situations, thereby it helps us to crack and resolve problems quickly and easily.

For such a condition, you definitely need positive thoughts embedded in your mind constantly.

What you think, that you will be.

During catastrophe, whatever is your mindset, we will be shaken to the core,some times struck at one point- until and unless you have a ‘Comforting Zone’, it will very  tough, to emerge  out of it.

Our way out, is to take shelter under His wings .Almighty Father is watching you and HE is right there to help you. HE not only knows our thoughts, and also sustains us to find the way.

Read the verse which shows how we are monitored by God:

“You have searched me, LORD, 
   and you know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; 
   you perceive my thoughts from afar. 

 You discern my going out and my lying down; 
   you are familiar with all my ways. 

 Before a word is on my tongue 
   you, LORD, know it completely. Psalm139:1-4

So God knows our thoughts, most of the time, our thoughts are futile and mostly dreadful. God can read our minds, and undoubtedly you have to watchful of what you are thinking.

• “Set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.” Colossians 3:2

God has good thoughts and good plans for His children. He has given us the power and authority to control our own thought lives. It is up to us to change our thinking with His word.The choice is open before you-

• “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.“As the  heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:7-8

God wants us to be religious minded; our mind has to be fastened with what the God desires. The mind controlled by God is life and peace.

Remember to fill you ‘think tank’ with good thoughts!

“How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them. Psalm 139:17

There are some occasions, when we stumble, not knowing the direction, we have to take, in our daily life. It ends in chaotic mode. 


Always have a clear thought- lingering in your mind that ‘Jesus is watching  over you and cares for you’.

Remember HE is in control,for everything in the world. The blind paths can be lightened up with a clear direction, we take from God.

Now read the verses:

“This is what the LORD says:

   “Stand at the crossroads and look; 
    ask for the ancient paths, 
    ask where the good way is, and walk in it, 
   and you will find rest for your souls….. Jeremiah 6:16

•  “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel  you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8
•  “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”Isaiah 30:21
• “Who, … are those who fear the LORD? He will instruct them in the ways they should choose. Psalm 25:12
• ‘This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“I am the LORD your God,who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17
• “Do not turn to the right or the left;keep your foot from evil.Proverbs 4:27

 Such a clear and emphatic  instruction:

Stand-  look-   ask for -   ask where  -walk in it-    you will find rest.


 This sounds as if our mum or dad giving instruction  for us in daily life. 
Think about the heavenly Father , how much more HE cares for you.

 The rich experience you  are having with the Lord will teach you this concept. Relax - you are covered under  the wings of the Almighty GOD.

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty".

Thoughts have tremendous power- It makes a man or kills him. what fills our mind, will turn out to be a foundation for his personality trait.Individuals are different,so as the thoughts. 

Negative thoughts usually start when a trigger (cause) activates them- it may be a suppressed desire, hurts, failures, humiliations or any positive thought which is blocked and turned as negative.( due to pressure)

Before you can stop a  negative thoughts, try to understand it fully.That is the complete profile of the negative thought. Nothing enter in our mind , on their own.There is a source from where it creeps out.

•  Where and how they originate? 
•  and How your mind  process them
• Understand the circumstances from where it is coming?

 Negative thoughts never come one by one,instead they come in groups, then accumulate together, until they result in a mood swing or a bad mood, then  lead to depression. 


So be watchful about what your think.

It is better to stop the  very first negative thought, when it enters the mind. Cleanse you mind with a word of God. Remember a promise God gave you.

• “I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise. I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes. Psalm 119:59
• “…. guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.  Proverbs 4:23
•  “I hate double-minded people, but I love your law. You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.  Psalm 119:113.
• “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.  2 Corinthians 10:3-5
• “Neither give place to the Devil. Ephesians 4:27
•  “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

While we pass through the difficult times, we have to fight the devil(negative thoughts) day by day, always remember that God's grace is sufficient for you.

 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  2 Cor. 12:9.

• Uproot the first sign of this negative thought from the mind.
• Shut the doors and turn toward a new path ( new positive thinking)
• learn to live your life.
• Do not imitate others, be yourself.
• When Jesus is within you, what are you  afraid of?
• Take care of you.

 Praise the Lord.

God’s strength in recognizing negative thoughts

The road to sin begins in thought life. Our negative thoughts tend to travel faster than we think of. Stop before it captures you.Thoughts have wings, can go anywhere, even to the prohibited area.So be watchful.


The following verses states that the origin of sin, how it overpowers a person's heart and subsequently the thinking pattern developed.


All sorts of evils are conceived in the innermost part of the heart and mind.It takes deep root and grows steadily. At the end it destroys the soul. But nothing can be hidden from God's sight.

• “For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. Mark 7:21-22.

• “Each one is tempted , by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. James 1:14-15.

• “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? James 4:1.

Seek God’s help to resist the devil and his evil tactics through the negative thoughts. 
Ask the Lord to help you learn to recognize the negative thoughts immediately so that you can resist them. Recognize the good from bad.That skill and insight you need.World  at large, is given in the hands of satan and his followers.
But God has given his WISDOM TO KNOW WHAT IS GOOD OR BAD.

• “test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:21  
• “By their fruit you will recognize them. … Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit….. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them Matthew 7:16-20
• “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Hebrews 3:12,13
• “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 
• "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12

God-Controlled Thinking

It is critical, to be aware of, to recognize and to grasp the sinful thoughts as they come in. We must learn to refuse the negative thoughts, reject them, and destroy them by giving them to God.

We must recognize that we are constantly in a war field (mind battle) and when we control our thinking ,our life pattern will be streamlined automatically. We will win the battle.

• “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

So be careful always and at all times.Understand your attitude and the essential steps to renew your mind.

For God controlled life, learn to change your attitude. hope the following will be of help:

•   Presenting our bodies as living sacrifices to God. (in terms of purity in heart and mind- have a clean  thinking.)
•   Denying  the self–centered thoughts (ego- our own thoughts, emotions  desires and wishes).
• Knowing the will of God ( it is tough to obey God's will 'cause we are mixed- up with our own desires)
•   Obeying God's Will (implicit obedience and doing exactly what He has asked us to do. No wavering in mind.).
•   Take out all captive thoughts ( no place for emotion and sentiments)
•   Count the blessings you have received.
•   No turning back. Move forward holding God's hand.
• Believe that with Jesus everything is possible.

• "I beseech you therefore, brethren...be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2)
• “Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

Let God give us strength to face and rule out the negative thoughts.
