Values and its necessity? -A Biblical thought

The kingdom of this world is under the influence of Satan- father of lies, waiting to devour us with his cunning way and alter the mind to pull us down, striking at our weakness. We have a warfare that involves the trickery(fraud) and power of the devil.

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12

Let us see who he is and what he aims at?
  •  HE is a cheat and tricky:
“The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.” Luke 4:5-6

If you give him a place he will shower you with the wealth of the world.  And you are the richest person in the world. (beware pain and discontentment will follow you, with such blessings.)

“We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:18-20
  •  He blocks and blind-fold our thinking skill:
"And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.

The principal values of the world include wealth, power, pleasure , pride, arrogance, egotism, revenge, fame, vanity and status.

These things are most important to people who identify themselves with power or pride or authority, over God’s grace.     (Cond)

God Bless
