…..Controlling Tongue

3 AUG 2011 …..Controlling Tongue
Most of the matters which develops a snag are due to mismatch of tongue- control management.
“…..the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. James 3:5-6
Controlling of one's tongue is a strong decisive matter, which influences the entire life.
In the Bible, book of James states the basic principle:
              If you control what you say,
                 you can control the rest of what you do.
We stumble in many ways – starting from the simple speaking of everyday matters to a meticulous speech to be delivered,which demands taming  of our tongue, It  seems to be crucial and  makes it presentable.
“…… I will watch my ways
and keep my tongue from sin;
I will put a muzzle on my mouth
while in the presence of the wicked.”
So I remained utterly silent ,…
 Psalm39:1
The Wisdom and Grace which we receive from our heavenly Father, enable us to control our tongue  and in fact it will enable us to rule all our subsequent actions and reactions.

“When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. James 3:3-4

The horse's bit and the ship's rudder- illustrates the action to do with steering of the strong forces, to move in a straight path. They emphasize the volume of the accomplishment – a strong deal which can be compared taming our tongue amidst crisis, which depicts   the magnitude of the tongue's influence and the need to control it. The more fast and vigorous the tongue is, the more should we take care to manage it. An unruly tongue will spoil  itself and others  who have no command over it.

Under the influence of the Grace of God, bridle the tongue, and then all the actions of the whole body will be easily guided and taken control of.
