Divine blessing refers to God’s purpose and intention to bring about the good things on an individual through His promise or a program which includes suffering and hardships. As stated earlier the blessing which is not from God has its own features. Do not compare anyone or with anything.
God’s blessing is the turn over and will remove the curse due to sin. In Christ, God bore the curse of sin and death and provided us eternal life.
God’s blessing is not based upon human merit or works, but upon His grace. We can never, be worthy of divine blessings. In Christ, we receive every blessing because He is worthy.
- “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to son ship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves”. Ephesians 1:3-6
- “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit”. Psalm 32:1-2
Obedience to God’s words along with gratitude, faith, love, and hope, brings the earthly blessings of God.
While disobedience brings a CURSE:
“But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands, …….
I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. …..
I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies;…. those who hate you will rule over you,
… I will punish you for your sins seven times over.
…. I will break down your stubborn pride.
I myself will be hostile toward you …
I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant.
I will send a plague among you,
.. I will turn your cities into ruins and lay waste your sanctuaries,
… I am the LORD.’ Leviticus 26: 14-40
- “Blessed are those who act justly, who always do what is right. Psalm 106:3
- “Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.112:1
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart—119:1-2
Blessings are different, it is our duty rather to find out the real source and then sit and enjoy GOD"S blessings.
we are answerable, to God for all we do, in this world.
Beware of accumulating and storing wealth in this world.
