NO AUTHORITY WITHOUT OBEDIENCE

9 February 2012

Authority is a special gift from God, which hinges on obedience. Unless we are obedient to the authority of the Lord (obedient in all ways, with all your heart), then He does not uphold our authority. Everything goes waste.

If you want to exercise the authority of Jesus’ name, we must be united in mind and heart, with Jesus. He must initiate, and we must respond in obedience.

"if you listen obediently to My commandments". (Deut. 11:13) -
"to obey is better than sacrifice" (I Sam. 15:22) -
"we must obey God rather than men" (Acts 5:29) -
"the Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him" (Acts 5:32)

Obedience to God is rather commanded to us.

Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Deuteronomy 13: 4

And Without faith, it is impossible to obey the word of God.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

You have certain strategy to follow  to adhere the required obedience

  • Obey the  voice of God:( It is your inner intuition(voice) which puts you in the right direction.).
“….. if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: Exodus 19:5
“but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.. Jeremiah 7:23
  • Obey God’s law.
“ A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: Deuteronomy 11:27

  • Obey Christ.
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.2 Corinthians 10:5

  •  Obey the Gospel.
"By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Romans 1:5
"But God be thanked, that ye were the  servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Romans 6:17

  •  Keep the commandments.
“ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

  •  Submit yourself to higher powers.
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Romans 13:1

  •  Pray  that God will give us the understanding and He will teach us His will.
"Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight Psalms 119:35.
"Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalms 143:10

“But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil,” II Thess. 3:3.
““If God be for us, who can be against us?” Rom. 8:31

Of course, Satan is (will be) against you. But the power with which Satan attacks you is marginal compared to the power that God gives you to overcome the devil. Praise the Lord.

Don't be discouraged, if you have many weaknesses and often slip down from God.
Remember, His strength is made perfect in weakness. In Christ, we are bigger and more powerful than sin and the devil.

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace .What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Romans. 6:14-15.

Be smart. Jesus is watching you.
Do not lose your authority.Use it to Glorify His name.

Misappropriation leads to condemnation.
Preserve your status in Christ.

God bless
