Benefits of Meditating on God's word- Abundant Life

16 October 2011
Abundant Life means -Life filled with Goodness and Prosperity- "superabundant," "superfluous," "overflowing," "over and above a certain quantity," more than what one would expect or anticipate".
Most of us are not aware that the primary reason Christ came as a man to this earth—to teach us how to live a abundant and fulfilled lives.
  • "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10."
If we follow His teachings,  we will live a happy, complete life. Then we will have lives worth living. A Christian life is ultimately more exciting, successful, and satisfying than most human beings can imagine. We are more responsible and self-restraint, but the rewards and blessings that accrue over a lifetime of pleasing God and living His way of life simply overwhelming and there is no comparison.
  • "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD,and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers".Psalm1:1-3

What is abundant living for one person may be absolutely unsatisfying for another.
  •  “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,Nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."I Corinthians 2:9,
  • “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him".  Isaiah 64:4.
  • “….. who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, " (Ephesians 3:20).

Look around  and analyze the situations - wealth, prestige, position, and power in this world are not ‘high-priority items’ on God's list of blessings.
  • “….. think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.I Corinthians 1:26-29.

The big "secret" is that the abundant life is contained
in the keeping of God's commandments,
and with the grace supplied through Jesus Christ.

 GOD BLESS
