Benefits of Meditating- Escape from committing sin

19 October 2011
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

Sin is universal, every one of us by nature are liable to sin. Sin is a’ Ego concept’ or ‘me alone’  concept . It is a self-pleasing and self centered ego attitude of heart which denies God's authority to direct our lives in this world.

The road to sin starts in our mind. Get off the road before you travel too far. Sin actually  begins in our thought life and spreads rapidly everywhere. When we commit a sin, it never "just happens." Sinful acts begin as attitudes or temptations in your mind and emotion.

What is Sin?

Sin is any transgression of the law of God; any disobedience of divine command; any violation of the will of God, either in purpose or conduct; or moral deficiency in the character of a person.

  • Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin."1 John 3:4-5

AS we read in the Bible even the sin in the thought of a man is dangerous.

  •  “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.Matthew 5:28 .
The real sinner is the inner man who is the embodiment of the inherent character of the person.
  • “For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly” (Mark 7:21-22).
  • “Each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death” (James 1:14-15).
Sin is not like a disease that some get and others escape. When we store our heart with the word of God, we can resist the temptations. Pray to God and you can be saved.

  • Whoever remains in him does not sin.Whoever sins hasn’t seen him, neither knows him. (I John 3:6)
  • “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (I John 3:6)

God does not like sin and does not like us to sin, a careful discovery shows that in every moment of committing any sin, there is a provision for escape from that sin.
Salvation is commonly known as an escape from hell, which is eternal punishment and an admission into heaven, which is eternal life.

The law of his God in his heart;
none of his steps shall slide. Psalm 37:31

GOD BLESS YOU
