I am doing a new thing

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”. Isaiah 43:19

As humans we are accustomed to live in the past, thinking of the past events-
  •             some are treasures to remember and relish.
  •             some are bitter memories still lingers in mind with pain.
  •            some are to be forgotten but lives in us (both good and bad thoughts)
  •             some are solid paths where we have learned about life principles.
  •          we try to walk through, in order to find solution and alternatives for the present problems.

Past never returns, but by the Grace of God we can prevail over the past. With the mighty power of God we might have been totally out of the particular situation but often we plunge into the past details because the scar remains inside.
But the Bible tells  us Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past”. Obviously it is correct.
‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
“You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.”Isaiah 48:6
“I am doing a new thing in you." And through Isaiah God tells us, "I have made you hear new things from this time, even hidden things, and you did not know them. They are created now and not from the beginning; And before this day you have not heard them..." (Isaiah 48:6-7)
“God is creating continuously, from the beginning from heaven to earth - in you and me, further God’s compassions and concerns  are true.
“They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  (Lamentations 3:23)
When you trust in Him you Lord assures that you will be "a crown of glory...and a royal diadem"
“you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God." (Isaiah 62:2-3
It sounds exciting and something to look forward to in His revealing time.
The apostle Paul confirms saying "... have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator (Colossians 3:10)
Christ makes us a new creation. ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Making a way in the wilderness is something humanly impossible. It means barrenness, emptiness and unfruitfulness everywhere, in all we attempt and accomplish.where there should be a way for Christians to walk, lean and learn the Gospel.
An unanswered prayer, long bending requests, closed doors-- anything of course, we can name it, to experience  the wilderness.
When you read the verses below, we can feel a way is being opened from no where.  Do not be dismayed.
“Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank”. Numbers 20:11
“He led you through the vast and dreadful desert, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock”. Deuteronomy 8:15
“There the LORD will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them. Isaiah 33:21
“I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. Isaiah 41:18
If at all we pass through such an experience,
it is not easy to understand that miraculous happenings.
