9 September 2011 Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God
Psalm 91 is commonly known as the "Psalm of Protection"-all filled with conditional and unconditional promises. When we’re stressed or sad, tired or lonely, fearful or tempted, disappointed or discouraged - We need a place to go where we can unload our burdens and get some relief. When we feel insecure and inadequate we need a refuge - a shelter.
Psalm 91 is an expression of our confidence in divine protection and deliverance. It reveals His love and His limitless and matchless power to keep us in safety. It is a reflection and expression of God’s love, its warmth and concern for us. Whether the danger is invisible or undetectable, God’s protection is adequate. Whatever happens, nothing shall hurt us. The Lord will manage all our worldly concerns, and preserve us from all evils.

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High,Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
- For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.” Psalm 27:5
- In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling. ” Psalm 31:20
- You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

- Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings from the wicked who are out to destroy me, from my mortal enemies who surround me. Psalm 17:8-9
- Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.Psalm 57:1
- I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Psalm61:4
- In this secret place there is special protection for us when we believe in God and trust Him in every situation and circumstances. God’s miracles of protection and His power, cab fill us with power to face of great difficulties
- No one in the world can realize or see that you are under the protective cover.They cannot see the shadow of the Lord on your life either.
